...to report the following:
1. Did a couple Singles Jukebox blurbs again. Wrote them quickly, so a few unexpected (and a few funny) things happened. (I thought of several better band names than "The Pigeon Detectives," which wasn't very difficult.) I wondered aloud whether or not I've given more thought to Green Day lyrics than John Lennon lyrics. This is half true, half bullshit. As far as "Working Class Hero" goes, I never really paid attention to the lyrics (cuz the "fucking peasant" bit pisses me off). As far as, say, "Welcome to Paradise" goes, I used to know every lyric by heart.
2. Participated in a truly bizarre side thread of sorts to Rolling Teenpop. Won't comment further, except to say it was kind of a trip and I'm glad to see Abby posting a bit again (Poptext is back up in running occasionally if ya haven't be around there lately).
3. Was given this astute unsolicited physical description on the sidewalk after stepping on a metal grate, causing much noise and confusion amongst old ladies and their little dogs, too: "Yer not fat! Yer small!"
4. Emailed Eppy back with some musings on humor and, as usual, find that I have answered the question in only six or so times the number of words everyone else used. And that's the abridged version!!
5. Hey, you can even buy music now:
